Yes!!!! It's working now. Doing the Scan or just Deleting the Library and recreating it the cover art shows up. I'll have to write a script to massage my music collection and move all my folder.jpg cover art files into the album folder vs. each (Disc X) folder. This is better for me as it cuts down on the # of cover art files I need to store.

Question to others? How are most people filing their multi-disc albums if they don't use a "(Disc)" sub-folder structure?

If that's a frequently used pattern then we can obviously do the work to support it.

The flip side is the possible unintended consequence of showing a disc-specific image as the album image.

I wouldn't fix it. I like the idea of a cover art for the album and separate art for the discs. This will be really nice for music boxed collections.

How exact must the folder name match the albumartist tag? There are lots of artists (ie *NSYNC) that use characters in their name that you cannot use for a folder name. I enable the feature "Replace non-ASCII characters" in MusicBrainz Picard and it would name *NSYNC as _NYSNC.

the server will normalize that as part of the comparison, so that should be ok. Well, maybe not if you have _nsync in your artist tag because the underscore is a valid file name character.

But the comparison routine will strip out invalid characters such as * before comparing.

In the folder view art does not appear for new imported music album: (i've down all sort of scan)

Do you have images in your folders? You need to have your own images in order to see images in folder views.

Ok, not for all, they are inside song for most of them but before the update folder takes pictures in metadata not in folder, i'll doing it

For me, I use the disc # tag and have all the files in an album folder, no disc sub folders. File name begins with disc number than track number.

All my other Movies/TV Show is fine.. but my Album art for most of my music is gone.. which I painstakingly set myself through Emby. The art files are still in the folders with each album.. but 80% of them don't show anymore.

 

Going through and manually doing this is about to drive me crazy.,
