Is there a way to disallow the deletion of playlists?

I know you can disallow the deletion of media, but I am wondering if you can stop users from deleting playlists? I have spent ages compiling a playlist from my large library of music and I would be crushed if I had to repeat the exercise.

Currently no.  This should be changed in future update.

Hi, what I would suggest you do first off is backup the playlist folder!
Then if something were to happen you could restore it!

Yes the server configuration plugin does backup the playlist folder (assume we are talking about playlists created within Emby).

Ah ok great- I use the server config plugin so I will be protected in that respect then, thank you for the speedy replies.

Hoping this gets a dedicated feature at some point to negate the risk at the root level. At least I know I am protected in some sense!

Yes but you have to remember Emby only maintains so many backups so you may want to manually rename a known good one or just make an addition backup of said folder as you don't know how long it will take before you notice missing playlists.
