Hi, You can control if Collections are created or not in EACH library.

If you are referring to the Collections library via My Media, no it is a User Home Screen option.  So it has to be hidden per user.

This box isnt checked in my libarys. So i dont know why the collections section is created. However. Thanks

Did you check EVERY library?
Did you EVER have collections/boxsets prior to 4.6?

If you don't want any of the collections you can remove/delete them.  But I'd suggest giving them a chance as they make for a great way to help organize box sets of movies.
Anyone who doesn't want Collections to show up on their home screen can turn it off, just like playlists.

Does your movie metadata have the <set> tag?  If so Collections will be made.

I used the plugin to move the images and removed the old library, looks perfect now!

Hello everybody,

in the meantime I have made friends with the new automatically generated rubric of collections. Now I wonder why there are no automatically generated images in any collection. So far, this has always been the case with films and series. That is certainly an setting.

What did I miss?

Hi, after adjusting the setting to your liking have you done a full library scan?
That should create the collections for you.

Yes is did, but the collection images are missing. Any idea?

Already did so. Nothing changed. Also a few full libary scans and meta data scans.

What happens if you multi-select (top left circle on collection) a dozen collections then use the 3 dot menu top right to refresh them?
Give it a minute or two to do it's refresh.  Go back to the main menu and enter collections again.

Do you get cover art now?

Conclusion: Unfortunately, nothing has helped so far. Oddly enough, only the James Bond film series has achieved the desired result before all efforts. How can that be?

Right now the fanart website has an SSL cert issue so no images are being returned by them.
That likely means we don't have any idea if your refresh would have worked or not.

Solution: I have to identify every single collection by hand:

I find this very tedious and ultimately it doesn't make sense because the collections were recognized automatically. Isn't that a contradiction ?!

We're looking into this but right now it's impossible to test properly because of the fanart issue.
