Closed caption no longer shows up for most channels

I would like to report an issue that started probably last week or so with my Nvidia Shield Pro devices (it's consistent). The CC icon doesn't show up and there's no way to enable it on the channel I am watching. I installed HDHomeRun app on one of the Nvidia Shield Pro device and the closed caption works for all channels, where available, so I don't think it's HDHomeRun issue.

HDHomeRun Connect 4K (replaced older 2-tuner device about 1-2 months ago)

Hi, I'm not sure why this just started happening to you but some changes were recently made that should help with this. The changes allow the use of CC under more conditions then they could be used previously.

I get CC working on my Quatro & Primes but I'm using later versions than you.

My server is running 4.6.0.48 which is beta but will be released at any time.
I'm running 2.0.0.18 which is available via the Android beta channel or directly here for manual install on Android ATV boxes.
