Mimcentric 1 Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 When I connect my server to my mobile hotspot, everything syncs fine, my server has the premiere features, and my ipad app acknowledges I have premiere. When I swap to my local only router, the premiere badge disappears and the features are gone. Is there a way to fix this? I'm often in poor to zero cell coverage except for maybe once a week and using the download feature to save on solar battery power is a huge reason why I purchase premiere. This is a new issue since I swapped my server from a raspberry pi to a linux laptop. Thanks
Happy2Play 9785 Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 Emby does cache premiere status for a few days, but does require internet to revalidate your premiere status on server and clients when that cache expires.

I understand that, but I've been validating it as we speak and each time I go back offline, it doesn't acknowledge the validation on the separate offline network.

Devs will probably need to see logs and specific clients.

Carlo 4561 Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 If you're switching network the server is on that could be your issue. I've not tested this but I'd try putting the server on the "destination" network, giving it Internet access to validate the server and clients then remove the Internet if needed. Now it should have the cached info.

I'm wondering where the cache issue is then, since I used to do this for validation regularly on the pi server. I'll see if I can figure out how to give my destination network internet as well, since it usually requires a sim card to access internet on its own. 1

Hi, when you do this, are you trying with a new device that hasn't signed into your server yet?
