jsc1205 51 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 I'm currently running the latest beta server and when I go to a movie to pull the subtitles from Open Subtitles I get no results. Have tried it with a couple of movies and not sure why its not working. I have verified that my username/password have been entered in the settings and English is selected as the default language. What am I missing??
Carlo 4561 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Hi, what movie? Have you went directly to their site to see if a sub is available?

Carlo 4561 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Is this Jack Ryan - Shadow Recruit (2014) This is what I get:
jsc1205 51 Posted May 17, 2021 Author Posted May 17, 2021 Yeah, when I do the search I get no results at all. Just tried another movie and same thing,.....no results.

Carlo 4561 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Can you show us your library settings for the subtitle section with advanced options turned on? A screen shot or two would be good. You could also try to a search and upload your log file so we can look at it. Just tell us what movie you used.

Are are the 2 screen shots for subtitle settings as well as log file. embyserver.txt
Luke 42080 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 It looks like it just didn't find a match. How is the video file and folder named?
Carlo 4561 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 "Require a Hash Match" is my guess as well. I can't use that on any of my files as they are all rips or I've reprocessed them so I'll never get a match.
jsc1205 51 Posted May 17, 2021 Author Posted May 17, 2021 The folder and file is labeled like this: Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit (2014). Do I need to do a rescan of the movie library??
Carlo 4561 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 No, try turning off the option "Require a Hash Match" Then try it again.

Carlo 4561 Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Upload your server log file so we can see what it did.

jsc1205 51 Posted May 17, 2021 Author Posted May 17, 2021 Just now, cayars said: Are you an active Open Subtitles VIP member? Not that I know of! Must have selected that by mistake. Even with that not selected I'm still getting no results on searches.
jsc1205 51 Posted May 17, 2021 Author Posted May 17, 2021 Ok....I figured it out. I logged out of the actual Open Subtitles website and relogged back in, just to make sure I was in there. In Emby, I went to the login screen and noticed that the "*" for the password was alot longer (have no idea why). So entered the password I just used on the website and BOOM its now working. Have no idea what happened with the password because I entered it into Emby like 3 times. Now that its figured out, another thing I'm noticing is that the issue of some movies playing back on the Emby iPad app are still starting like 8 seconds into the movie instead of the very beginning.
Solution Carlo 4561 Posted May 17, 2021 Solution Posted May 17, 2021 (edited) EDIT: OK glad you got it figured out and working! Edited May 17, 2021 by cayars
