Collections - All or nothing?

I dont want auto created collections cause the plugins/feature auto makes collections I dont want along with ones I do. And if you delete them, they just get created again.

Adding collections manually movie by movie can also be a chore.

Is there a middle ground I am missing? Like if I want a James Bond Collection, is there a way I can tell Emby to make a Bond collection and it auto adds the movies. This is the best of both worlds. Makes a collection manually so ones you dont want arent created, but it adds the movies themselves automatically....

Is this possible?

You can multiselect the movies you want and then add the selection to a collection (new if necessary).

Thats what I do....but if its a large collection (like bond..or DIsney...or Marvel), it still takes time..and you have to try and remember all the movies and hope you didnt miss one.

So I guess what you'd like is for there to be an intermediate manual/auto option which creates the collections of which you give it the ids?  Perhaps you should create a feature request in the part of the forum where they live!

Collections are only automatically created if you install the auto boxset plugin.  The solution is to install it, run it once, uninstall it, and then manage your collections by hand moving forward.

That will be changing to a library option once 4.6 lands next week.
