Blinking Cursor at top left of screen when playing in full screen

When playing in full-screen, as soon as the title of the movie/serie and details disappear from the top left,
a cursor appears and starts blinking in the the top left of the screen , in a way which is quite similar to a cursor for entering text .
It's quite bothersome because it stays there the whole time.

I am using the dark theme for emby.

I can't reproduce this.  Is the file direct playing, streaming or transcoding?

I clicked on that top left area where the cursor is shown, it's not blinking in the extreme corner anymore,
now it's blinking right before the title of the movie (in the top left corner)

i noticed that the cursor jumps around whenever the screen is paused if I click in other areas,

it's like the existing overlay text becomes selectable or at least you can place a cursor within it

Does it happen in Firefox, Edge or other browsers as well?

What browser extensions do you have loaded?  This sounds like an extension issue to me.

i just tried it on firefox, there's no bug there.

 i have these extensions :

Custom UserAgent String 0.21

and google docs offline (+ docs, sheets, slides)

I know when using Emby Theater Desktop lately the cursor doesn't always fade very fast and if I flick it to the right to make it go off screen instead it gets the horizonal resizing look and doesn't go away, that's with full screen on.  Emby Theater 3.0.15

 

The screenshot I took is useless, it doesn't show what's happening. 

Also the cursor won't disappear on the left side of the screen for me either. Right side it should float away, but it's not working right, it's grabbing instead when it shouldn't.

I don't see either of those causing a problem but you could try to disable them for a session just to make sure.
Do you have the new Edge "Chromium" browser you could try?

Chrome with extensions disabled fixed the problem.
Edge chromium with no extensions installed also didn't have this bug.

that's weird, i ran chrome with extensions disabled it fixed the problem.
then when i ran it again with extensions enabled the problem was still gone, it didn't re-occur.

Maybe a little late to this discussion, but I had the same in Edge, and it was just that caret browsing was turned on.  pressing F7 turned it off and it was fixed for me
