TEKDUDE 3 Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 Running Emby on Windows 10 Pro machine, Emby version 4.5.4.0 and I cannot seem to figure out what is going on with TV series "Golden Girls' (insert joke here). Its one of my wifes' favorite shows. Anyway, the Metadata is all messed up. Each episode per season (all 7 seasons) seems to be pulling from one episode, and all of the images are from one episode (See below). I have several TV shows, this is the only one that is messed up. The Golden Girls: Here is how the The Big Bang Theory is displayed: Any ideas on what is happening here with 'Golden Girls' ?
Guest Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) Have you tried a refresh of the metadata or find missing metadata? EDIT: The only other thing would be making sure the metadata was embedded to be able to be identified properly with all of the providers... It seems like it is getting everything except the Episode Metadata and/or Episode Images.. in the Library settings? Edited May 11, 2021 by Guest

The strange thing is that when I added the show to the library, everything was fine, it went to this mess after my wife started to watch some episodes. I think the only provider I have enabled for TV shows is TheTVDB.
Guest Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 (edited) You might try extending Episode Image Fetchers to include a few more, I have all four selected.. Then do a Search for Missing Metadata.. Some information may not be as complete on some databases. There have been random changes as well with those databases.. seen for a while now. Worth a shot though. They look like they all have the same description and title even which is strange.. Edited May 11, 2021 by Guest

Solution Guest Posted May 11, 2021 Solution Posted May 11, 2021 My next question is the file naming convention.. and embedded data.. They have strange Episode numbers versus what I am used to seeing... 3-1..3-2...3-3 Since Show metadata is separate it may seem that it has not identified nor downloaded the online resources... It could have something to do with this area. TV SHOW EPISODE LISTING The Season is listed at the top.. and then I have single numbers for the episode.. I have the typical folder structure per season and naming convention with embedded metadata.. But I had seen this in the past.. Should be an easy fix.

The naming convention of the files was not a good choice, so I renamed the first 5 episodes in season 1, to start with and boom, those 5 are now showing correctly! Thanks for that tip! Only 146 renames to go.. ugh.. I'll make wife do it haha.. 1
