Linux file permissions issues

Hi

I've set permissions for Emby user to have rwx access to my Music folder by running

 sudo setfacl -R -m u:emby:rwx /home/leif/Music/

Now this seems not to "stick", new items added to the folder do not inherit this and if I want to delete items from Emby I get an error until I reapply the command. Then I can delete again.

Can someone help with a more permament fix on Linux Mint?

I won't make Emby user the owner of the folder because it's in my home folder and it would mess up my session user permissions and ownership of the core home folders.

Thank you

Running setfacl with those options is not sticky, it's equivalent to chmod and only modifies existing files and directories. Since you want to preserve non-emby ownership then read through the KB article below. It should give you what you want by setting default permissions for new media without changing ownershiip.
