Using existing nfo data from another app

Is it possible to use existing nfo data that has been created from another app?

ie if i use MyMovies or Tiny Media Manager to create the nfo data, will emby use that instead of downloading the meta data again and over writing what i have already

Hi, As long as it has all the require elements you should be able to do this.  Try comparing an NFO file generated by Emby and by the other app.

Easy test is create a library and disable all providers and add some items to that library with your existing metadata.

I use xml provided Media Center Master.

I can confirm that TMM created nfos get parsed properly, Movies have worked for some time, with recent additions for TV Shows, they do as well, as I curate my collection exclusively via TMM.
