Custom intro/Cinema intro not working on TV shows

Title says pretty much all of it, for some reason I cannot get the custom intros to work on tv shows. The media folder is properly categorized as TV Shows and the cinema intros are enabled on episodes and on Movies. Movies work without issue. Any suggestions?

Edit: Noticed playback setting on the Fire TV app, Cinema intros is on but it says for Movies and makes no mention of episodes, is the fire TV app simply not capable?

Hi cinema intros is a Theater like feature to replicate the big theater experience at home.

I've never heard anyone ask for this for TV Series, nor have I ever watched TV Series at the Theater.

If I remember correctly there is an option on the server (Windows at least) to enable it for series as well.  Not sure about the clients as, like you, I have never had a reason to put that on for series.

But I think this is for allowing codec intros to be used for Episodes and not "trailers".

Hi.  I believe the Fire app does not currently support this for anything but movies and, in all the years, you are the first to notice that  (or, at least, ask about it).  We can look at getting them included when selected on the server.

Not originally but, at some point, we went ahead and allowed it optionally for TV at the server end so we should enable it in this app too.

yes please add this, I am noticing this does not play on TV shows on my Firestick TV app, but plays before TV shows on my PC...I would also like this added so I can view this on my TV before a tv show, or in between episodes. Thanks!

Hi.  The app doesn't currently support intros for TV.  Question - should all the intros play in front of each episode?

To me personally I'd say no it should play only before the first episode assuming the client is set to play additional episodes or play all or similar is used.

I just wanted to add more personalization to the app and make my media server look more professional for my users. I know on free streaming platforms such as PlutoTV the "intro, or ident" plays between every episode, I was trying to do something like that.

Hi.  The TV app does not currently support intros for TV episodes.  The standard app should.

You broke it for vantage point TV intros. Now only works for LG app. Web, Android and Apple no longer work because they have been updated.

I like to have a tag. Based on the tag, it should fire off the correct production company ident before the episode or a warning about quality because of age of archive material or a dialogue explaining something about the episode. Could never get Embys cinema Intros to work for Episodes, hence Vantage Point.

I've let cheezegeezer know who wrote it in hope he can find underlying cause and fix.
