Accessing by Id vs Name

I don't think MBC will be able to comply with this as all themes are designed around these items being accessed by name.

We definitely want all clients to move towards the direction of accessing all related items by Id, instead of name.

 

By this I mean people, studios, etc.

 

I have started to remove the name access from the github wiki, although the endpoints are still there for compatibility. The following should always be access by Id now as we supply the information through the api:

 

• People
• Studios

 

The following still require name access because the api does not yet supply the Id's directly to you:

 

• Artists
• Genres
• MusicGenres
• GameGenres

However, once you have a full reference to the above item, you can then proceed and perform all functions using the Id. Over time we can change this though so that the item Genre list will contain Name/Id pairs. (Artists too).
