aerospyke 4 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 I have just updated from 4.4 to 4.5.4 as Emby Theatre wouldn't connect anymore as it said the server was outdated. Fair enough, it's been a while, i'll go update the server. Currently the server is on the same box as Theatre (HTPC running Windows 10). Library is hosted on a NAS mounted to the HTPC. Running NSSM so this is keyboardless, just runs and can get remote connectivity from other devices on the LAN. When running the NSSM service, it's still 4.4 and Theatre won't connect. Letting the app run, it's 4.5.4 BUT my settings, history is all gone and I get a "first run" wizard when i connect to the dashboard. Does anyone know what may have gone wrong here, how I could fix it, reconnect DB or the like to get my profiles and settings back?
pwhodges 2012 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Sounds as if your new (update) installation is in a different directory from your old one. There are ways to transfer the database and metadata, but I'd say you'd be far better of ensuring that you update the original installation in place. Paul 2
