TheTVDB User Subscriptions

With TheTVDB getting ready to force User Subscriptions to make calls to their API, how is emby going to handle this problem? Will this break emby's metadata collection?

There is discussion in the TVDB api issue topic.  But when the time comes Emby will provide a v4 api plugin that allows users to enter their subscription pin to continue using TVDB if they choose to.  You also have TMDB and OMDB as alternatives.  But if a suitable alternative is found I suspect we will get a replacement.

It has be posted TVDB will be closing down legacy api functions 1October 2021.
