Emby 4.6 Releases for Beta to Stable

I was wondering when emby 4.6 will be released to stable.    I have 4.5 stable and would like to get 4.6 beta because all the new improvements  but i dont want to have to redo all my library's again

From what I read the next release doesn't seem to be far off but why do you think you need to redo your library?
You can easily update to the beta and once released go to 4.6 stable from there.

Hi.  I would not install beta just to get new features.  4.6 will be released as soon as it is ready and, unless you are willing to help test, report issues and endure possible problems along the way, you should stay on the stable release.

Seeing bugs in 4.6 directly after the upgrade. First, my db libraries were empty. Literally no items in any library. Restored the db, rolled fwd to 4.6 again. Now, can't mark items played/unplayed. Can't add to playlists. Marking played acts like it works but exiting item and coming back in shows it not played. Adding to playlist just spins forever. Checked mapped config dir permissions, all is correct. So unsure what's happening.

No, the storage is cloud attached and full fresh scan takes days.

I'm seeing a lot of these errors in the log

    SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException: Busy: database is locked
    SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException: Exception of type 'SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException' was thrown.

That would suggest Emby is running two instances.

Can you restart the system?

I did. Those same errors returned. Note, that was when the library was empty. Then I restored the data and the libraries came back. Now I have the second issue, mark played/unplayed, and the associated log is the embyserver-markplayed.txt in the zip file.

If you are still getting locked database then some how you would potentially have multiple instances of Emby running.  Or at least that is the only way to have a Locked database from previous topics.

I did above. It doesn't hold the played state.

Hi.  I believe that is probably the root of all your issues.  You interrupted a necessary scan and then started trying to do things with a partial database.

So run a full scan? The restore was of a full backup with 4.5. so it should have just done the same roll forward to 4.6, no?

No but they may not show again right away until you perform a full rescan.

No, it doesn't delete anything. The root cause of all of your issues are those database locked errors.
