JERRY1 17 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 My niece keeps getting sign in error.Invalid username or password. I tested with my cell remotely no issues ,can someone shed light on this please No matter what app she tries won't work,

Carlo 4561 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Have you checked her account on your server to make sure she has REMOTE login privs? So she does see the website and can use it. She enters her username and password then gets an error. Could there be any confusion going on? Did you ever set her up with Emby Connect? Do you see anything on your Dashboard when she logs in? Have you tried the same thing logging in via the website with her credentials? Try resetting her password and give her the new password to use (after you verify it works). Â

Carlo 4561 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Sounds like a client network or ISP issue if she's not able to get to your server. I don't know how technical either of you are but you could try to get her to do a simple tracert to your WAN ip to see how far this makes it before it doesn't work. That might give an idea where the problem is. It could be a device or network firewall, and ISP issue or a dozen other things. See if she is using a VPN and if so, turn that off, etc

JERRY1 17 Posted May 2, 2021 Author Posted May 2, 2021 she was testing it from her laptop so i told her type in the address, only my credentials sometimes. Wish i could see what she's doing but i can't..she's seeing the server , sometimes she gets connection failure and other time invalid username or password. you could be right maybe that what she's doing but saying otherwise
