Luke 42077 Posted October 29, 2018 Author Posted October 29, 2018 You don't need to edit the database,I would just wait for the database cleanup to be improved. Thanks.
vaise 340 Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Hi Luke - thanks for that. Whats in the database cleanup ? Will it be coming in a beta update ? Soon ? Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted October 29, 2018 Author Posted October 29, 2018 This section of the community is for the stable release. Please use the Testing Area of the community for beta related discussion. Thanks.
vaise 340 Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 OK - will post my question to https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/62703-shadow-movie-folders-containing-only-backdropstheme-320bif/ That is where the issue is being discussed - There does not seem to be a docker/linux section in 'server testing' though - hence me posting how to update the database here.
Pog22 52 Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 (edited) My own server runs in docker, I'm running Version 3.5.3.0. How do i enable homescreen latest Tv Show posters like I've seen on another server? They work better, I can see more shows on the screen This other server also has Tv network artwork how do I get mine to scrape this Edited November 1, 2018 by colfin22
Luke 42077 Posted November 1, 2018 Author Posted November 1, 2018 You'll have that with the next release of the server. Thanks
Pog22 52 Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 You'll have that with the next release of the server. Thanks Thanks Luke So what platform was the other server then? I was sure that was running on docker also
Luke 42077 Posted November 1, 2018 Author Posted November 1, 2018 I'm not sure. You'll have to ask the owner of the server.
Haxy 11 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 How to enable https in docker container? Accessing 8920 port gets mi error
Luke 42077 Posted November 4, 2018 Author Posted November 4, 2018 Can you please describe your issue in more detail? Thanks.
Haxy 11 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 I am using this image: https://hub.docker.com/r/emby/embyserver/Accessing: https://Container_ip:8920 does not works " This site can’t be reached"
mediacowboy 438 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 (edited) I am using this image: https://hub.docker.com/r/emby/embyserver/ Accessing: https://Container_ip:8920 does not works " This site can’t be reached" So you have that port mapped for that container. Ports: - 8096:8096 - 8920:8920 Edited November 4, 2018 by mediacowboy
Haxy 11 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 So you have that port mapped for that container. Ports: - 8096:8096 - 8920:8920 Is that question? Yes I have
Luke 42077 Posted November 4, 2018 Author Posted November 4, 2018 Did you setup an ssl in emby server? You need to do that first under advanced. Thanks.
Haxy 11 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 I don't have any ssl settings under advancedtab
Luke 42077 Posted November 4, 2018 Author Posted November 4, 2018 Because you've disabled remote connections.
Haxy 11 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 So i cant use https because I dont need to use remote connections? Jesus...
Luke 42077 Posted November 4, 2018 Author Posted November 4, 2018 Why would you need https on just a local network?
Pog22 52 Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 Try a different browser or incognito mode. I have the SSL settings under advanced in the Android app
Luke 42077 Posted November 4, 2018 Author Posted November 4, 2018 Try a different browser or incognito mode. I have the SSL settings under advanced in the Android app Most likely because you have the remote connections checkbox checked.
brunz95 0 Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 Just recently set this up with my LibreELEC box and installed emby server via docker and its all going awesome so far but just 1 problem. I can't seem to map a 3rd directory for some of my other files (anime). I followed the command to get the anime folder however nothing appears in /data/anime since the files are stored on my externall HDD (which is connected to the kodi box, all other media files are also here so the drive works fine) So how can i map the anime folder from my external drive with the docker commands? I tried tinkering with the config file also however nothing seems to do it for me. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

You need to mount the drive on the server running the docker container, and then add it to your run command as it's own --volume

The configuration sections of the apps don't offer much in terms of mounting drives or anything? sorry if these are stupid questions im new to this.

The configuration sections of the apps don't offer much in terms of mounting drives or anything? sorry if these are stupid questions im new to this. I reread your original post. So this is an external drive connected directly to the server? And you can access other folders via Emby on that same drive? If that's the case, it sounds like a folder permission issue. Make sure emby has at the very least read access to the folder you're trying to access.

Make sure emby has at the very least read access to the folder you're trying to access. So its connected directly to my server, and with emby server on docker it only allows me to map 2 folders, i can map any 2 on the drive that all works fine, my problem is im not sure how to map a 3rd one, i tried following the command from the docker website (" -v /storage/path:/data/additional") and it works fine if all my files were on the server directly, however theyre not, and its not possible since my folder is far too big to be stored completely on the server itself. I think i need to map the external drive to /storage somehow, as its currently mapped to /var/media but im not sure how to do that. Thanks for the help.
