Hi folks, I've read through this thread and I'm not finding an answer to a question (or just not understanding what I'm reading). I'm running stable versions of the docker and also plugin versions (not at the same time) on my unraid server. I've been able to update the plugin to 3.0.5986, but the docker version only says 3.0.5973. Running the docker updates yields no newer versions. Does the docker version require a different method of updating?

Thanks so much!

Bobby

Which Unraid version are you running? There's a problem with docker updates not appearing on 6.1.9 (and versions below)

If you manually edit the container or use force update under advanced view it should update.

Right now there seems to be some issues with docker updates because Tumbleweed is missing some dependencies. I will try and track it down and resolve the issue.

Try switching to mono 4.2.3.4.

Using of 4.4.1 still broken, right?

Is it a Mono or Emby issue? Does anyone know

Thanks, I will try that.

This is for my Uncle's system and he is currently moving.

I just updated to Emby v3.0.6010.0 on UnRaid 6.1.7. When clicking check for updates on docker page it does not pick up new version. It is identified as an Unraid issue in another forum. No big deal as the Emby server dashboard notified me of new updates.

Thanks for all the effort.

A workaround I found on the forums is to go into the docker settings, don't change anything and click "save". That is what has been working for me, I guess this is fixed in unraid 6.2 but that version isn't stable yet.

I usually delete the docker and add it again. I am on 6.2, emby was telling me there was an update, the docker didn't need an update. Once I deleted and added, it got the update.

Takes 10 seconds to do it.

I've run in to an issue that has me stumped. I'm running Emby Server (dev) 3.1.6052.31460 via Docker. I have set up access to all my media folders (movies and TV Shows) plus my games. My media plays just fine, however when trying to play a game via emulator, Emby Theater (Windows 10) just spins.

I have GameBrowser III setup correctly, the consoles show up properly and all the games are showing correctly too. Emby Docker has R/W access to all of its folders. I've also tried setting up the path substitution in the server console and pointed it to the actual shared folder and the results are the same. Emby Theater won't start the required emulator and game. Everything else is working flawlessly. The emulator that I've tried is zSNES and SNES9x (64bit) on Win10.

Docker users of Emby, do you have sync enabled in Emby and write do external storage?

Are you having issues with integrity and continuity of sync?

Is anyone having issues with Emby failing to work multiple times a day? I have to restart the Emby docker multiple times a day or else it just spins on mobile and the webgui looks like this. Running the latest Stable Release of Emby in Docker. It also displays another page after a certain time where it shows Header information, etc, on a white background....Almost like old html.

I'm using Docker on Openmediavault, 64bit.

Using it because it's easy to backup and restore in the event that I screw up my omv box somehow, plus it allows me to ensure that apps such as sonarr, couchpotato, deluge and SABnzb only have access to the folders I say, keeping things segregated and safer.

+1 to @@TrainAss explanation. Me too.

Also... there's a opened socket bug that doesn't happen inside a container, because somehow the Docker network layer manages sockets better than my router  :-DDD

How are you meant to update emby via running it in docker? All of my other docker images update upon restart though this doesnt seem to update on restart...

Probably something related to how they built the image.

What is the command you run to update image of a container?

The images that update on restart are terrible in my opinion. Linuxserver's design of containers is questionable at best and does not follow the docker philosophy. Ths there is info about update in the wiki.

docker exec Emby update

This command works beautifully. I'm trying to get a scheduled task in OMV setup that runs this once a week for me overnight.

If you see their site, you'll see that they intend to change this real soon.
