WinTV on Nvidia not recognized

I have WinTV tuner attached to Nvidia Shield and my emby server is on the same Nvidia Shield. Every time I scan to add it to my live tv the server doesn't recognize the tuner. I'm new to emby  and used Plex in the past.

They'll probably want to see a server log.  Does any app on the shield see that tuner?

I don't believe you are going to be able to use this tuner on anything but a PC running Emby at the moment as one of the current requirements is Win TV 8.5 or higher.

Support for this and other tuner types is currently in development but that won't help you right now.

The alternatives are to move Emby to a Windows install where you install Win TV, or to use a network tuner like an HDHomeRun or any m3u based tuner.
