metropical 38 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 This has been discussed in 2019 and early 20 and the issue seemed to be with TVDB. I gather this is still the issue? No way to use IMDB? Manual update works fine. No big. Just asking.
Luke 42085 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Hi there, can you please go over an example? thanks.
metropical 38 Posted April 28, 2021 Author Posted April 28, 2021 when I drop a new TV series into a TV library, unless I manually refresh that library, it remains unknown to the server. I haven't tried this with a movie as I haven't added any recently. The metadata settings in all libraries have TVDB & MovieDB checked. Perhaps I need to pick one or the other?
metropical 38 Posted April 28, 2021 Author Posted April 28, 2021 without me manually re-scanning the library, that new series doesn't show up in the library.
pwhodges 2014 Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Is "Enable Realtime Monitoring" checked in the library settings? Are the files on a networked-attached NAS? Paul
metropical 38 Posted April 29, 2021 Author Posted April 29, 2021 "Enable Realtime Monitoring" checked - yes in all. all drives are on a shared computer on an ethernet switch.
pwhodges 2014 Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 What kind of share, and what OS? I know that sometimes remote systems don't give the same file-system update information - though it'll probably be down to others to work out the details on this one. Paul
metropical 38 Posted April 29, 2021 Author Posted April 29, 2021 High Sierra is the server. Mavericks is the mount for the external drives. What kind of share? What do you mean? Both Macs are connected behind the same switch. It had worked when I first loaded Emby a year plus back. Auto update isn't a big deal now that I know I need to run manual update when I add films or series.
metropical 38 Posted May 18, 2021 Author Posted May 18, 2021 new version of server seems to have fixed this issue. 4.5.4.

metropical 38 Posted May 19, 2021 Author Posted May 19, 2021 I'm set to auto update, so I guess whenever. But when I posted originally 4/28, pretty sure I was on 4.5. or 4.5.1.
