Thomas64 40 Posted April 27, 2021 Posted April 27, 2021 Folks - Is there a branch/distribution of Linux better suited to run Emby Server on? I ask because I would like to move my Server from Windows to Manjaro XFCE. I see Emby Server (and dependencies) is readily available for download/install in the Manjaro package manager - no muss, no fuss. But, just wanted to check if there was a preferred Linux Distribution for Emby Server to call home... I've been using Manjaro XFCE for a few months now on the client computer connected to my TV & Sound System and really like it. Haven't had a single audio or video issue since switching. I switched due to A) Audio Sync issues I started having in Windows after some random update and B) I've just grown tired of the effort needed to stay on top of what the latest Windows Update has changed to both privacy settings and default behavior. It seems Windows has moved from being an underlying Operating System to an attention hungry application! I figure that time could be better spent growing more accustomed to Linux and moving off Windows.. Thanks!
