Deathsquirrel 745 Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 All of my songs have embedded images and the same file is also saved in the album directory. That works great for the album artwork but any song view uses a different set of images I didn't supply. They often aren't square and have stickers and such that I don't want in my album art. If I manually edit the images for a song and delete the existing image, the song uses the album artwork instead. Is it possible to bulk delete all the cached song images from the server so only the album art I supplied is used?
Guest Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 The only way I would know to do this is to turn off some of the metadata settings and Refresh using Replace Images or remove the Library and change the settings with the new Library.. I have had multiple issues with images and metadata occurring in my BETA installation.. I actually abandoned working on it for the time being. I do know that turning everything off besides image extractor... and importing will only use audio file embedding and your metadata to display the albums. Getting it to fill in afterwards is another thing all together.
Luke 42089 Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 There is no internet metadata support for individual songs. Are you sure those images aren't embedded into the files?

The images could have once been in the files as I recently did a big update of tags and images, but it's not there now. I've tried removing the files from my library, running a scan, and them adding them back, but it didn't help.
Guest Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 You would probably have to destroy your metadata folder for EMBY.. The only time I seen this work was when I uninstalled EMBY.. and destroy all remnants of the installation including about 700,000 items in the metadata folder.. The reinstalled and tried again.. When you then add the library and set up the metadata you leave nothing on except the image extractor. All other selections for metadata have to be un-selected..

If you change the embedded image of a file, the 4.5 server may not adjust to that, but this should be improved in 4.6.
