Empty Libraries in DVR/Recordings

I have setup Emby to record some shows via the DVR function. I have it set with the optional paths and it correctly places the recorded TV series in the correct sub-folder. I have only setup TV series so far and they go into the TV sub-folder so I assume the Movies will also be placed correctly.

When I look at the Libraries, it shows the 3 libraries associated with the setup (Recordings, Recorded Movies and Recorded TV) and looks as if they are all pointing to the correct paths. As you can see, the 2 "Recorded" libraries seem to not show any backdrops as the Recordings and other libraries do.

When looking at My Media it shows the Recordings library correctly but the 2 "Recorded" libraries are empty.

Recordings Library shows that TV has data. If I click on TV it displays all recorded Series correctly.

Clicking on either Recorded Movies or TV from My Media shows no items found.

Any ideas on how to resolve this or do I have something set incorrectly?

Since you manually setup the movies and tv show library options, you can remove the default library.

Then try recording at least one movie.

How do things look after that?

Still the same after recording a couple of movies overnight. They all show up under the main Recordings library but the others are still empty. I tried creating a library that points to the TV folder and that also shows up as empty.

We took care of this via a remote session and AKSKinz is in good shape now.

Changed the path options in DVR settings, then ran a Full Library scan and then removed excess Recording Libraries that were present.

Can you explain what you changed in the "path options"? my current setup looks nearly identical to AKSKinz setup (I used 'Series' instead of 'TV') and my experience is identical to AKSKinz. So if you could elaborate that would be great.

You don't need the default storage path if setting the optional paths.

It would be a good idea to note that somewhere on the screen. currently the on screen text just talks about the default path being "optional"

maybe a note below where the optional recording paths state that it set, please unset the "Default recording path"

Part of this is just speculation on my part, but I recommend removing it as I've seen less duplicate Recording Libraries created without it set.

I would not want to add this to the KB area or make that an instruction as it's just a hunch some of us have found in trying different setups.
