ShadowKindjal 21 Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 I may be missing something but I can't seem to find the option to offset subtitles. Can someone direct me? I'm in the web app running server version 4.5.4.0. Maybe it's a setting that I don't have enabled?
ShadowKindjal 21 Posted April 22, 2021 Author Posted April 22, 2021 This image from the server 4.5 release post shows the option being below stats for nerds but my server web app doesn't have that option.

Luke 42077 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 It applies for both internal and external subtitles, but not when burning in subtitles with server transcoding.

What would I have to enable/disable to get this working. I never see the option for offset correction and I haven't found any clear documentation on enabling it. I currently have "Allow subtitle extraction on the fly" enabled. Would I have to disable this?

That option generally needs to be on, yes.

ShadowKindjal 21 Posted April 23, 2021 Author Posted April 23, 2021 (edited) I know you requested that Happy2Play split this out two topics but I just downloaded external subtitles via the opensubtitles plugin and I finally have access to the offset option but only on the external subtitles. Seems to be a similar issue. Edited April 23, 2021 by ShadowKindjal
ShadowKindjal 21 Posted April 23, 2021 Author Posted April 23, 2021 I did not have the option to offset subtitles until I downloaded external subtitles from opensubtitles. As GrimReaper76 mentioned, this feature seems to not work on internal subtitles.

ShadowKindjal 21 Posted April 23, 2021 Author Posted April 23, 2021 Although, I just tested it with a DirectStream and it yielded the same results
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 As mentioned there is no offset for transcoded items. 2 hours ago, Luke said: It applies for both internal and external subtitles, but not when burning in subtitles with server transcoding. Solution Luke 42077 Posted April 23, 2021 Solution Posted April 23, 2021 I'm very sorry, my mistake. There is actually an issue here where the menu is being hidden for internal subtitles when it should not be. this was not the intended design. This will be resolved in Emby Server 4.6. Thanks. 1
