Split video files (file stacking) with Multi-version movies - no option to choose version for second part of the movie

I have a movie with two parts (Disc 1 & 2) in a 2D and 3D version. The 2D- and 3D-Versions are grouped.

There is one folder for 2D and one for 3D, containing 2 mkv-files for each disc.

Naming is:

  • Folder 1: "Movie (year) - 2D-1080p"
    • MKV part 1: "Movie (year) Disc1 -2D-1080p"
    • MKV part 2: "Movie (year) Disc2 -2D-1080p"
  • Folder 2: "Movie (year) - 3D-HSBS-1080p"
    • MKV part 1: "Movie (year) Disc1 -3D-HSBS-1080p"
    • MKV part 2: "Movie (year) Disc2 -3D-HSBS-1080p"

I can only choose between 2D- and 3D-version for the first disc. For the second part, there is no option to choose between 2D and 3D.

Any idea, what i can do, to have the option to choose versions for the second part of the movie?

Hi, if possible join Disc1 & Disc2 of each into one file so you end up with

Movie (Year) - 2D.ext
Movie (Year) - 3D.ext

Then put them both in the same directory with the base name of "Movie (Year).

Now you will have one entry in Emby for the Movie but a pull down with both the 2D & 3D version to choose from.

See Multi-Version section in this KB article https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html
