Mkilbride 86 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 (edited) For example: Shows as nothing here. It's empty. BUT, if I search? Episodes show up. Another example: 35 episodes show. But when I go inside it? Only the Specials are showing up in the seasons. They are ALL labeled correctly. Most shows are fine. I can't figure out why this happens. Edited April 15, 2021 by Mkilbride
Carlo 4561 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 That is a bit strange. Have you tried moving that series out of the library, doing a full library scan then moving it back and scanning again?
Mkilbride 86 Posted April 18, 2021 Author Posted April 18, 2021 (edited) So I removed the library itself. Then re-added. It appears to have fixed it, but it fucked up a lot of my metadata which is what I was worried about. Weird that it happened in the first place... Re-scanning my library seems to be taking an extra-ordinary amount of time. It's been at 88.5% for quite awhile now. Maybe the HDD is going? It's only a couple years old, but it hasn't been making any weird sounds and S.M.A.R.T says it fine(But that's only half-way trustable) Might be time to replace it I guess. Carlo 4561 Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Don't sweat the percent done. It's not really linear in time but in function of what needs to get done. Example: On my system I can get to 94% in 10 to 15 minutes but take hours to finish to 100% all depending on library options and meta-data providers. If in doubt of what's happening just check the system log and you'll see it's working. Just let it run and finish on it's own.
Mkilbride 86 Posted April 18, 2021 Author Posted April 18, 2021 Yeah after I posted it literally finished and everything was fine, haha. It just seemed unusual, as usually when I do a full library scan it takes a minute or two. Must've been because it was re-adding like 30+ shows. Oh well. It's fixed now. I wish I had one of those 1000Mbps uploads instead of just 18Mbps. I'd definitely get some backup storage going then, but 18Mbps is painfully slow to try backing up. I hate Comcast for this. Gives me 1000Mbps download- but 18Mbps upload, seems like a joke. I'd take like 500Mbps download if I could also have 500Mbps upload. It'd make a huge difference to me, and be worth it.
Carlo 4561 Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Glad you got it working. Yea I know what you mean. I had 400Mb + upload via Verizon but then a car took out part of the system in an accident and I was the last house on the FIOS line (only house in 2 blocks) so they did a repair for everyone but me. I lost my "high speed" and had to switch to Comcast/Xfinity for 2+ years which gave me 8 to 10Mb upload. Even with a highly upgraded plan I could only get 17 to 18Mb upload. Was a drastic change in how my Emby server could be accessed. Last month Verizon came a knocking and was back expanding down the road and I was lucky to get 1 Gb from them which just feels so much faster uploading now. I've now got both services running and keeping both so I've got a backup or can test remote access quite easily. I wouldn't worry about remote backup services but go USB3 drives for important media.
