Traction Tim 11 Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Bit of a weird one this. I logged in to my Emby server and noted that Blue Iris was complaining about low hard drive capacity on my usually 1/3 full 250GB C drive. I had a search and found C:\Users\Tim\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\transcoding-temp had a 159GB ts file in it that was still growing and I only had 2GB left. I stopped Emby server, and checked what it was and then deleted the file. There was a second file that when opened showed a terrestrial tv program that I don't ever watch. Am I being hacked by UK Soap TV watchers I thought ? As far as I understand, my FireTV and Nvidia Shield Emby clients are all HD and don't need anything to be transcoded. This has never happened before, and Emby has been working very well for months. I think I have added the correct log file - this happened on Sunday the 11th April 2021 and I realised I had a problem at around 20:00. Users could be Tim or Liz. Can you see what happened ? embyserver-63753782402.txt
Guest Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 I see transcoding for Top Gear.. One of my Favs.. Someone else will have to look at it in detail.. ( Love watching Chris Review Cars.. and the rest of the guys too.. good show ) I had this happen a long time ago but it only happened once... I caught it before it got too bad though... Never happened again. I don't get transcoding issues either ( most options for conversion are even turned off on mine ) I Direct Play but I do not have a Live TV tuner going either...
Traction Tim 11 Posted April 13, 2021 Author Posted April 13, 2021 The HDHomerun quatro combined with Emby works very well, and has made normal tv seem very old fashioned. I did note in the log that 192.168.2.45 was active fairly late on. That didn't make much sense, as it is a FireTV 4k stick on the kitchen tv and I hadn't been in there for an hour or two. I rebooted that firestick just in case. 1
