Prevent metadata refresh from accessing specific media folder

Is there a way to "lock" a whole media folder from being accessed and (unfortunately updated) by metadata fetchers?

 

I have a "Home Videos" media-folder with handmade metadata.

I'd like to activate the automatic metadata updating but I am afraid of my metadata being altered.  (It happened once long time ago with MB2).

I know I can disable metadata update for each video but there are many of them.

 

BTW, Is it safe to just "lock" each item from metadata updates or have to set every single field to "Off"?

Is it now possible to lock metadata rekursively to a Movie Folder?

Or must i go to open each of the 800 movies to set the lock?

Or is there a way to process all .nfo in one step?

You mean like this?  I use xml, but nfo should work the same.

 

I just locked every movie in my Kids movie folder.

No i mean only some metadata to dissable not all!

But anyway i have found a other way.
