Learning_Curve 9 Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Hi guys, This has been bothering me for a while and it just now occurred to me to make a post. When I'm navigating around in emby, my menus look like pic related. I think there's supposed to be little icons/pictures next to the options. Am I missing a font or something? How do I make this look the way it's supposed to? Tried searching the google and here before posting. emby 4.5.4.0 firefox 87.0 manjaro linux
Luke 42079 Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Hi, that's odd. The icons are contained in a font file, so either the font file failed to load, or there's something odd about the browser on that platform. Can you supply the contents of the browser debug console?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Unless this is specific to Linux or your FF, I am not seeing this issue in FF87.
roaku 842 Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 I just checked my Pine Book with Manjaro and Firefox 84 and had no issue with the icons. I'm running updates to get the latest Firefox and will check again. My guess would be that your browser settings are blocking the font file from loading.. But just a guess.
Solution Learning_Curve 9 Posted April 10, 2021 Author Solution Posted April 10, 2021 I actually figured it out on my own. in FF Preferences>General>Language and Appearance>Advanced, I had to check the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" box. So now I have to weigh the choice of letting random webpages uglify my reading, or to have all the pretty buttons in my emby. That's actually kind of a tough one. At least it's documented now, so the next person to search for it doesn't get lost along the way. Thanks for offering to help!
