I have been a subscriber for emby premiere for 12months, before that Emby supported everything  out of the box, since strange times I decided to cut down cost so I stopped subscribing. Everything changed after, I had to buy an app for fire TV, backups don't work ... app is bullying me to subscribe again. I sent this email to emby team and of course no response:

Good morning,

as a long supporter and subscriber to your emby premiere service just
because it felt right to give something back, I was shocked, that I had
to purchase the app on FireTV stick as soon I stopped subscribing to
your service. l was subcribed for over a year which is 4.99 x 12 at
least and I think for long time subscribers app purchase should be free.
I genuinely like the service you have and everything but was really
shocked whilst I was watching a show, it stopped in the middle of the
play and demanded me to purchase the app to continue watching.  I think
you should at least consider us long time supporters a bit differently
than normal users who never donate at least in this times where we are
in almost apocalyptic era and jobs are at stake where every $ counts!

There was no response on this and I am actually gutted how I this worked out. I really like the product but I don't think this was the right approach.

Hi.  Where did you send that message and from what email address? 

We're sorry you are not able to subscribe any more.  Do you feel you should get all the features for free because you once subscribed?  We work very hard on Emby and it costs quite a bit every single month to keep it going.  We appreciate all of our subscribers' support.

I sent it to apps@emby.media on 12/2/2021 from the same email I have here in the support forum. I don't want to sound entitled, I was just surprised that it cut me off in the middle of the play and I had to purchase app for FireTV to continue watching. As far as I know app was free before even without the subscription and I just subscribed because I felt it is the right thing to do to support the cause.. Slowly I am thinking this app is going towards subscribe-type-model so we will not be able to use it for free, but that is my opinion. I know running costs are high, but in this strange times we all need to look on each other how to help, unfortunately at this time I also need to look after my finances to cut down costs, maybe some courtesy from your end would also be nice.

Hi.  No, that was not the case.  The app has always required either Premiere or an unlock.

In the future, please send any billing inquiries or issues to billingsupport@emby.media.  This is the email address  your key is sent from so you can just reply to that message.

Well that email is public on your facebook page that is why I used it. Looks like this closes it then?
