Any way to use iptv without using an M3U list?

Hi guys 

 

I've noticed now more and more suppliers are moving away from M3U addresses. Is there going to be a way of getting iptv working through emby without having to use an M3U?

Hi,

No, m3u is the defacto method of stream entry into Emby.

If this other method has the stream URLs available and they work by themselves in VLC they should still be usable in an m3u file if hand crafted.

@cayars I believe he is talking about "xtreme codes" which is a rest call made to get the stream links instead of using a m3u file.

@RikitydjEmby doesn't have that capability so you need to use a tool to create a m3u like cayars suggested.  IPTVBoss is a good free tool that can use the XC url to get the data and create m3u and associated xmltv files.  I don't think xTeVe has that capability. I imagine there are others.
