streaming problem on AndroidTV

Hello,

I've been having trouble streaming movies for several days now.
These will start, but each movie hangs for a while and then continues (multiple times per movie).

This is on the AndroidTV app.

What have I already checked ?:
1) Internet connection
2) Server: defragmenter,
cleaning files and registry keys etc. AndroidTV app: maximum streaming bitrate set at 160 Mbits / sec.

I have also sent the AndroidTV logs to the developer

Can anyone help?

Hi, try removing the smartthings plugin, then restart the server and see how that compares.

@Luke I just removed the Samsung smartthings plugin from the server and rebooted but no improvement.

Hi.  I can see you are streaming remotely.  What is the speed of the connection on both ends?  Up at the server and down at the client?  And what is the bitrate of the content?

The up is 50mbit/sec, the down is 300mbit/sec.

 

I uninstaller all the smatthings plugins from the server and I think the problem is solved now.

Okay.  Let us know if it crops back up but 50 up from the server is not necessarily going to allow all your remote apps to direct play - depending on how many at once and the bitrate of the content.

The bit rate is an average of 7000 kbps per 4k movie (I only have 4k movies on my server (+3400 pieces))

Out of curiosity, how many clients can you have streaming those 4K files at once?

I can handle 4-5 clients at the same time
