Can you change which trailer plays for a movie?

It's kind of annoying that in many movies the 'trailer' is something like a behind the scenes look or awards night ceremony. Can you select which trailer shows up for this?

I haven't seen this issue before.. Are these coming from the files/folders you have created for them or from the online sources?

From online. I didnt know you could download your own trailers.. How would you point to them? The trailer button links itself to somewhere online and pulls whatever promo reel is there. Usually its a trailer but sometimes its some other related video.

for example the trailers for 'RAN' or "2001 a space odyssey " are not trailers but video discussions.

Bladerunner 2049 trailer is not a trailer but an 'announcement' teaser. Theres a bunch that are just odd and not standard trailers.

'Lady Bird' is an odd 'HD Clip' and not a trailer.

Atomic Blonde is a 'blue monday' clip not a trailer. "Baby Driver" starts with a bit of a trailer then breaks into a featurette interviewing the actors.

Well it depends on where those links came from. You may have had them already in an nfo file and the server was reading your existing metadata. Or they may have come from MovieDb. Have you checked MovieDb?

But TMDB currently has 3 trailers and 3 featurettes.

Who provides your metadata Emby or other?

Atomic Blonde (2017) - Trailers & Videos — The Movie Database (TMDb) (themoviedb.org) 2 trailers and a Clip  Still need to see nfo if created.

The MovieDB is first in the list and both are checked.

 

Moonrise Kingdom is a commentary, not a trailer. Can we refresh where the trailer is coming from?

There is only one provider so the only come from TMDB.  I will test but have never seen this issue you are describing, I have never seen anything besides Trailers.

The bad trailer for 2001 is coming from TMDB but under media--here https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/62-2001-a-space-odyssey?language=en-US

its a commentary from John Landis...?  This link is on the TMDB page under media: This is the exact fake trailer I have in emby for some reason under this movie...

Atomic Blonde pulled the three videos, So Emby would appear to be getting all Videos from TMDB.

We do filter it in emby. We don't just take any regular video as a trailer.

I am going to guess something as changed (possibly) per the cached json from TMDB for 2001 Space Odyssey (no separate labels like website)

That is a per library option.  If you do not have Emby write nfo files with media, then the information only exist only in the database.

@Lukeshould the cached json be different then the api call?  json does not have type where api call does.

Well first of all, it could be different per language, so you need to test using the same preferred metadata language option that he's using. 

Try refreshing the metadata and see if that gets newer data from MovieDb.

But as I just did 2001 Space Odyssey, Emby wrote all 6 videos as posted above.  The Featurettes were not excluded.
