Emby server lost

Just restarted the computer that has the server on it and it gave the quick start up guide rather than start the server,  so i came here to get the log in directly from this page, and it' completely empty.
Sign in option offers me my user name connect, manual etc but when I click on my user name again the whole server is empty. this is the second time this has happened and again it's gonna be a whole new server, what the hell? 
No new addon, nothing in settings changed, everything is the same as it was a month ago, but suddenly it's all gone. 
I know you will ask for logs but guess what there are none, so I can't expect any help either, you can't help if you have no means to know what happened, I understand that. 

Also manual sign in returns invalid user name

I would be looking at any Security Software that may have altered the installation and making sure there is only one installation in place on the system for sure. Especially look into Windows Defender settings and anything it has blocked or scanned.

Have you used any optimization software, or cleaned files with any type of program?

EDIT: And you have been running in the same user account?

No I have no security software running on that computer as there is nothing other than emby server installed, possibly a defrag ran but that wouldn't alter any of the settings

Hi.  Did Windows update recently?  Sometimes, large Windows updates will move our installation to an "unknown" area.

If you like I can do a remote session with you and try to give you a hand with this.

Also try logging in directly from the server itself if you can run a web browser on it. 

Try doing what others have mentioned but if that doesn't help, send me a PM and we can try to assist you.

Are your files for metadata, cache, and transcoding-temp still in place?

What size is you libarary.db, and is your users.db in place and what size?

I accepted defeat on trying to recover the old server, just restarted again, so annoying but no matter what I tried it could not recover the old system, manual log in returned invalid username/password, also in the log in area my user name (server name) wasn't listed connect I didn't try as it would only connect to the new server the system had created.

Nxemby001 all files including meta and logs were lost.

Cayars Thanks for the offer but it's too late now, started from scratch again , but thanks anyway.
ebr I looked to see if there was an update, and there was two days ago, I think this may be the cause, as I run that computer 24/7 and only restart to finish the installation of updates to the server, I assume that windows update files on restart also, so this would only take effect after the reboot. as a precaution I have now disabled auto updates from windows.
