nick naim 18 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 I noticed that emby now stores additional fanart images as "fanart1.jpg", "fanart2.jpg", etc. instead of an "extra fanart" folder. However, when I manually add additional fanart images to the movie's folder using that naming convention, they are not recognized and added to the movie during a library scan. On the other hand, they are recognized if I use a name like "fanart-2.jpg" etc. This also means that if the database needs to be restored, emby won't recognize all the extra fanart files that emby itself has created.

Yes Emby will add them via UI as fanartx.jpg, but if you manually put a image fanartx.jpg in folder it is not recognized, and using fanart-x.jpg is recognized. tested in 4.5.4.0 per the KB fanartx requires extrafanart folder, even though the server is creating them now. Backdrop backdrop.ext, backdropX.ext fanart.ext, fanart-X.ext background.ext, background-X.ext art.ext, art-X.ext extrafanart (subfolder)/fanartX.ext 1
Luke 42089 Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 OK we'll take a look at this. Thanks for reporting. 1
