Replacing or rewriting artwork

I have used Emby Premiere for a long time now and I use Media Companion to get my nfos and artwork. I have notice that my fanart, and sometimes poster, it being replaced. My locally stored images are sometimes there for choice is I edit images but they are not the one being used.

I do not want Emby to control any artwork and I am not sure why this is happening all of a sudden.

Is there some setting that has changed or that I need to find in order to have Emby use my local images only?

Luke, I set my own fanart (backdrop). Emby periodically changes that artwork. My local images are pushed aside. Emby still has them but chooses to use what it downloads.

 

Happy, where do I go to disable this? I do not remember ever having set it.

Dashboard-Library, per library.  Scroll down to  Image Fetchers.

Enable Show Advanced settings to see all library options.

But yes a specific example would be helpful as your description does not make since.

I am attaching an image if it helps. You can see the backdrop area. The backdrop on the right is my download. It was replaced by the one on the left that it must have downloaded itself. I do not know why it would get one if I already have it. It never did that before so I was confused about it.

So Emby is adding images, and not replacing images correct?

Emby has a backdrop count and if it is set to 2 and you only have 1, it will attempt to get the missing 1.

Click fetcher seeing in Image downloader section.

But if downloaders are disabled it won't matter.

There is really no need to disable them. Having them enabled will not replace your local images, not unless click refresh metadata and check the box to replace all images.
