muhfugen 5 Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 (edited) I've noticed that I can't seem to seek certain MKV files with the Emby app on a Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019. Whenever I try to, they just start over again at the beginning. These problematic video files seek just fine on the Emby web app under Windows/Chrome, and other video files will seekjust fine under the Android TV app. Since it probably matters, here are the CODECs used by the problematic MKV file: The Emby server is running 4.6.0.35 beta on Windows Server Core 1809, and is setup to do transcoding with a GTX 1050. The Andriod TV app is version 1.8.55g. Edited March 29, 2021 by muhfugen

ebr 16184 Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Hi. Try refreshing metadata on one of these items. If that doesn't work, try a simple remux as it may be a header problem with the file. Please let us know how you get on. Thanks.
1971camaroguy 32 Posted August 20, 2022 Posted August 20, 2022 That's exactly what the problem is, a corrupt file, I have one doing this and I ran one through mkvtoolnix and it fixed the issue. One way I can tell is it doesn't show the length of the movie and when it ends on the dashboard. Once i ran it through that and copied the new file to my folder, scan and it works. 1 2
