Idiot guide to Trakt

Short story,

I lost all Emby favorites and watched status a month or so ago; please dont ask how, it stills hurt.

 

I do have a Trakt acct, and having nothing to lose, I am wondering how to request Trakt to try to update my emby libraries?

Where can I find "Trakt 101 for newbies" ?

Hi, as this is a community contributed plugin, there isn't a whole lot of documentation, but hopefully it's settings are straight forward enough. Just keep in mind when you sync to trakt, you're sending data from your server to Trakt, and when you sync from Trakt, it's the other way around. So that means data on one side will be replaced with data from the other.

Hi Luke,

I definitely not want to send (no data) from emby to Trakt, but was wishing to be able to send (some) data from Trakt to Emby.

In scheduled task I hit play arrow and it ran 0 seconds, that can't be good

Out of curiosity, where are favorites/played status saved ?

I was thinking it was within respective .nfo's, but none of my nfo show either lines.

Is there a settings or option somewhere in emby?

It's in your emby server database files.
