simardd 1 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 I have the latest Emby server release running on Windows. My music collection is properly structured in folder collections. I have 14 m3u playlists that get imported when I create my mostly flac music library. Somehow, a small percentage of tracks don't get imported. For example, out of the 168 tracks in the attached Latest Hits.m3u file, 9 tracks are missing in my library. I manually scanned the Emby playlist and the first 2 missing tracks I found were the ones by Carly Rae Jepsen. How do I troubleshoot why they are being skipped? I could not find anything in the attached embyserver.txt log. Latest Hits.m3u embyserver.txt
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 (edited) E mo tion - the spaces are not spaces but utf characters similar to a . correct that and look for simialr on the others Edited March 25, 2021 by PenkethBoy
simardd 1 Posted March 25, 2021 Author Posted March 25, 2021 Thanks, PenkethBoy. I see that now. I can also see the other 7 tracks that have similar issues. Is there any way to have Emby handle the UTF characters? These are downloaded using my Deezer subscription and manually identifying them and correcting them on my downloaded copies is out of the question. Interesting to note that Plex Media server handles them without issue.
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 ensure the m3u file is in utf-8 or utf-16 format - might fix it
simardd 1 Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 I found a workaround. I recreated the playlists in m3u8 format using PotPlayer. After rebuilding my music library, the missing tracks have reappeared. Thanks for your help. 1
