download feature on non-mobile app

Hello !

 

i have emby premier, and try new features.

I'am interesting by the download feature because it could be a mechanism to increase resilence of the system : if the client downloads all  lastest media (with some limits in size / numbers etc...), even if the server if offline we can play the media.

 

But, from the documentation, it seems that this feature is only available for mobile device. It seems so, because only mobile device are available for download in my setup.

I have emby theater for windows or emby on nvidia shield, but they don't appear in the list.

 

Does somebody can confirm ?

should this feature supported for all devices in futur ?

For the Shield you could try sieeloading the mobile app with the TV layout, with it downloading is available iirc.
