Hi friends,

Since the last update was 4.5.4.0 - I had no problem with Emby until yesterday.

The server stops responding and is inaccessible for a few minutes.

I'll leave the logs attached.

@Luke Is there anything I can do?

Not really seeing anything in the logs but you need to fix inotify.

System.IO.IOException: System.IO.IOException: The configured user limit (8192) on the number of inotify watches has been reached, or the operating system failed to allocate a required resource.

does Emby have any limits?

Emby use inotify for to capture Real Time Monitoring events from the platform/system.

I am a Windows user so don't know exactly what file you need to update on your system.  Pretty sure the are inotify topic in the Linux section.

But this only affect RTM so you have to perform library scans for new items to seen.

ok, what limit does Emby need? - Currently limited to 8192

we changed it here to a much larger number. Thanks a lot for the help. You are amazing!

I am confused as you are posting a log covering about 11 hours, but nothing stands out in that log to me.

There's nothing obvious here, but as a test, can you go into the settings for each library, then disable the realtime monitor for the library, and then once you've done that for all of them, then restart the server and see if the issue remains? Thanks.

Hey guys,

unfortunately the emby keeps falling.

I noticed that it falls when I have a lot of friends watching at the same time.

I am attaching the logs.

Please, can you take a look to see if we found the problem?

I didn't see anything that stands out in your log.

How are you determining the sever stops responding?
How do you know it's Emby that stops and not the computer itself or the network?

In the VPS where Emby is installed, we have other services like SSH.

When the emby falls, all other services are active, except the emby.

The emby process is active during the fall, but totally inaccessible.

I'm enabling emby to debug the logs, who knows this can help.

Hi, I don't see anything obvious here, but the upcoming 4.6 release will have improved performance that may help with this.
