JERRY1 17 Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 Is there a way i can have one of my users connect without emby requiring password and is it safe do something like that ?
vick1982 15 Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 I think only local users... so unless your user is connected to your network by vpn probably not.. this post shows how to if local https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/78845-local-user-without-password-can-login-even-with-connect-account-set/&do=findComment&comment=801708
JERRY1 17 Posted March 21, 2021 Author Posted March 21, 2021 This user is remote, in the 60's don't know about computers..guess i'll use his phone as a password no way he can forget his own number, thanks.
Luke 42080 Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Yes, you can do this by configuring the user in Emby Server setup. It's just not really recommended.

You would just configure the user on your local server. Please let us know if this helps. thanks.

Does he use a domain name or an IP or Emby Connect? But as Luke already mentioned he should only need to add the username and password one time and have it remember his login. Then the next time he logs in he just chooses the already saved account and will get logged right in. Doesn't get much easier than that!
