Wrong subtitles downloaded when a single file contains multiple episodes

Hi,

This is probably a bit of an edge case but I noticed that in cases where a tv show has multiple episodes per file (for example the first two episodes of season 1 of the A-team) then the subtitle search for the subsequent episodes if off by 1. For example searching for subtitles for episode 5 will show subtitles for episode 4. It looks like the subtitle search is looking at the file count rather than the actual file name.

Hi.  Are the episode numbers correct in your metadata vis a vis the internet providers?  It sounds more likely that that is where the issue lies.

I think so. The correct metadata is downloaded for each episode and the file names match (S01E05 etc).

Can you please confirm?  The filenames aren't the key.  The key is do the episodes' metadata have the same episode numbers as the provider sites that govern what episode each one actually is?
