Direct File Access

Hi, i have two tvbox on my home , one with shied TV, and one with the last google chrome cast with google tv. on the shield TV i can use the option of Direct file access, and on white chromecast dont exists this option, i try on the other diferent TV box of my uncle and dont exist this option too. On my dad´s TV that is philip model with android tv, dont exist this option. So Why only exist on shield tv ?? shield tv is android tv, why others android tv dont have this option ??

Hi. The Shield is the only Android TV device I'm aware of that lets you mount network storage.  But there should really be very little need for that option.

little need dont, much need because with direct file access the server network outgoing works  less, and you can work with more playbacks at the same time with the same speednetwork

I can restart Emby server during playback with direct access.  Now that I have it I would hate to lose it.
