Emby Server - Add option to turn OFF the auto-generated chapters when a chapter file is absent

Emby server currently creates some auto-generated chapters when a chapter file (usually an XML file) is absent.

Can you please add an option to turn that OFF?

Are you sure there aren't chapter markers in your video files?

Yes.

This is something already clarified in another topic, they suggested to create a feature request because as you know, Emby devs implement many new features based in popularity.

Allow chapter image extraction to be disabled.

Please don't force chapter image extraction if "Video Preview Thumbnails"  is enabled. These should be two separate options; like they are in Jellyfin.

Hi, are you "+1 ing" the wrong thing? What you're mentioning is not the same thing that is being requested here.

And we have those same two options - we just present it as a three-way dropdown rather than two checkboxes.

These should be two separate options; like they are in Jellyfin.
Keyword: separate. In Emby, you can't have one without the other. In Jellyfin, you can enable/disable either.

In other words...
I like video preview thumbnails. However, I don't want chapters -- I find them pointless.
In Jellyfin, all I have to do is disable chapters. I can keep video preview thumbnails. Simple.
In Emby, the two are "bundled" together in a single option. If you want video preview thumbnails, you have to have chapters (and vice versa).

Hi.  Not vice-versa.  You can have only chapters without seek images.
