Thanks for that info. How would I package it as one URL?

I can do this in a browser with a GET request but Luke has said the Emby won't send a GET...

I don't think that's possible right now. Emby needs to allow you to change the request type or customise the body.

So how do other people get this to work? Through another third party app?

I can see through wireshark that no requests make it to the IP address of the dimmer device when I try to actuate through Emby. There is no communication between emby server IP and the dimmer IP.

However when I use a browser on a PC I get the following:

 

 

and the dimmer reacts accordingly.

 

Is it possible to make a feature request?

 

To have an option similar to the webhooks, but when an event takes place Emby will 'ping' a user typed IP eg:

192.168.0.70/light/0?turn=on&brightness=50

to control devices directly? Or is there a plugin that might do this already?

Hi all, I was able to use Scripter X plugin to get this to work.

In there you can define a web GET and set up the trigger.
