Music Artist (Queen)

Hi guys

This is a weird one.

All of the tracks in my Music library and Music Video by the group  Queen are listed as "lbum" for Artist and Recording Artist.

If I correct the entry the change is accepted but when I view the detail again it has been changed back to "lbum".

The tracks are in a directory called "Queen" all of the ID3 tags say "Queen", Musicbrainz points to "Queen". I can't find anything that says "lbum". New Queen tracks are added as "lbum" even though they are labelled correctly.

If I remove the links to Musicbrainz and update the Artist it still changes back, if I lock the record it still gets changed.

The detail for the track; Description, etc. is correct.

I don't seem to have the problem with any other artist or track, just Queen

Can you show us a screen shot of this and also show us what the ID3Tags look like?

Is there anyway you can load these into TagScanner and give a screenshot of the Advanced Tab while in 'Edit'. This will give an extended view of all tags embedded instead of the ones shown by Windows Explorer.

Have you tired unlocking the values in Emby, then saving.. and then editing and saving?

The info not shown is not connected to artist, etc.

It would appear to me to be something wrong with the database in Emby then, the only other effecting factors I could think of off-hand would be any extra plugins.. or adding CSS code ( which I doubt would be the issue )

I would try a slight rename of the folder for Queen and a rescan and see if it makes a change - not for sure how the metadata and database entry in Emby will react/treat it but it is worth a shot to see if it is the database. IF it is you might try to delete the database and rescan the library.. let it build and see what happens.

I think I have solved it. I found an Artist record in my Music Library which was showing as Queen and had all of the Queen tracks under it but was labelled a "lbum" when you looked at the entry, I corrected it and I am now seeing everything labelled properly as Queen, I wonder if it was propagating the error downwards.

Yeah sometimes... LOL.. I have done the same thing.. sometimes it is better to be sure and check the path.. to the file. I would do that because I was so sure of my folder structure...
