Here @ebr

You have 4 screenshots and a nfo

- Android_App_1.jpg: the show is endend and only show the first airing year

- Android_App_2.jpg: the show is continuing and show the first airing year and Present

- Android_TV_1.jpg: the show is endend and show the first airing year and Present

- Android_TV_2.jpg: the show is continuing and show the first airing year and Present

The red is the one is wrong

It is when you click on a Shows with the attach NFO

It will be event better if it show Ended :)

The series has no end date, which the app is interpreting as it still continuing.  Not sure why the web app sees it differently...

So the web client shows this, correct?

end.jpg.f186b3d4f664a193679968125a96dbe9.jpg

Note item level shows the same

Does Emby require <enddate>2006-05-21</enddate> as that nfo is missing it?

@ebr @Happy2Play
yes the nfo is missing the enddate tag  but the nfo have the tag <status>Ended</status>

so it should at leas just show 1998 without Present word :)

The web client see the tag status ended and do not show present instead it showed "1998"

So do to missing metadata it is showing partial information ie missing enddate.  It is a matter of which field is being read.  But yes uniformity is preferred.

So a defect of third party metadata not providing Emby metadata, correct?

We stopped displaying the status so the TV app stopped looking at it ages ago.  I guess that is the difference.  A proper end date in the metadata will solve it though.
