JGale 10 Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 I followed this guide a couple years ago, and have been immensely grateful for it. However the system update hasn't been working, so I tried the Manage-EmbyServer.ps1 script, and I think it updated. However it now takes me into the setup process, and appears to have wiped my previous Emby install. Is there any way to fix this, or are all the system files (Users, Collections, etc) gone?
JGale 10 Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 Update: I'm guessing it's installed alongside my old install, and redirects to the new install. Kudos on the management - I wish I had this script a couple years ago, it would have saved me tons of headaches. However, I need to populate the new Emby install with the files from my old one. How do I do this?

JGale 10 Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 I'd forgotten I set that up - thanks! That will fix a lot of issues, now I need to figure out getting Emby as a service going, and connected properly in IIS.
TheITJedi 41 Posted December 7, 2025 Author Posted December 7, 2025 @JGaleIve always just replicated the system directory from one install’s root folder to another, that carries over all the configuration, settings, users, etc.
